Pitura Seeds is looking for a full time production assistant to join their team. Duties would include trucking, seed plant operation and equipment operations/maintenance. We are located a 1/2 hour south of Winnipeg at Domain MB. We have a competitive wage and benefits package and a great work atmosphere. Education: Completion of high school, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Power Engineering Trade Certification, Stationary Engineering Trade Certification, Stationary Engineer 2nd Class, Stationary Engineer 3rd Class, WHMIS, CPR / First Aid Certificate, Driver's License
Experience: 5 years or more
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Work Setting: Commercial facility, Food processing industry, Electric power generation plants
Type of Equipment: Computerized control systems, Stationary engines, Low pressure boilers, High pressure boilers, Valves, Gauges, Alarms, Meters, Pollution control, HVAC, Water and wastewater treatment, Pneumatic controls, Distributed control systems (DCS)
Specific Skills: Operate automated or computerized control systems, Monitor and inspect plant equipment, Measure temperature, fuel flow and pressure, Analyze and record instrument readings and equipment malfunction, Troubleshoot, perform corrective action or minor repairs as required, Perform routine equipment maintenance, Clean and lubricate machinery and components, Maintain daily log of operation, maintenance and safety activities, Write plant or building operation reports, Assist in the development of operation, maintenance and safety procedures
Additional Skills: Instruct apprentices, Coordinate maintenance activities of trade contractors
Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Driver's validity license check
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
