О специальности из первых уст. Специальность называется Educational Assistant. Работу выполняет почти всю, что и учитель в наших школах, только не стоит у доски и не объясняет материал, ну и конечно прав и возможностей меньше. Преподавательскую деятельность стоит начинать именно с этой специальности, потому что система образования совершенно другая и это даёт возможность понять из чего состоит школа, предметы, как учат, дисциплина, внешкольная активность. Это практически другой мир. Ну и чтобы стать учителем надо владеть английским в совершенстве, преподавать будете не английский, а предметы математику, физику, химию и т.д на английском. Ассистент чаще всего работает с больными детьми или трудными во время урока, на перемене. Возле некоторых детей нужно находиться постоянно, а когда такой необходимости нет, помогать другим детям, если они об этом попросят. В Мордене чаще не хватает ассистентов в старшей школе, ведь это школьники 16-19лет, это ещё другой мир, плюс говорят они между собой на сленге, канадцы не любят там работать. Даже дети младших классов относятся к русским учителям с превосходством. Ассистенты часто меняются, работа очень нервная.
